On the first day of the West Asian Championship, held at Bahrain's Manama in three junior, young and adult categories, Peyman Dehqani won three gold medals.
Dehqani lifted 79 kilograms in snatch category and 115 kg in clean and jerk, recording a total of 194 kilograms bagged three gold medals.
In these competitions, Bahrain's two weightlifters with a total of 136 and 115 kilograms, ranked second and third, respectively.
