Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Seyyed Abbas Araqchi and State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office Linder Tese explored avenues for preventing the effect of US's illegal sanctions.
Araqchi and Linder Tese stressed immediate execution of the Europe package of proposal, in particular the financial channels following the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal and re-imposition of its sanctions.
The two sides also agreed to develop their bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Araqchi expressed Iran's strong protest to the German government for extradition of the Iranian diplomat Assadollah Assadi to Belgium.
He stressed that Iran would pursue the case through diplomatic channels.
