Abbasali had already won the gold medal in Incheon Asian Games, four other Asian gold medals, and one silver medal and one bronze medal in the world competition.

Abbasali’s silver medal in the 2104 Bremen World Karate Championship is the Iranian women’s first ever medial in world competitions of this martial arts field, and therefore of great significance in the country’s history of sports.
