The NTU ranking evaluates universities based on three factors of research, research impact and development.
Based on the mentioned factors, Tehran University is now in the first place inside the country and 367th in the world.
Tehran University with 9th ranking in mechanics and 79th place in engineering field is the top Iranian university.
In addition to the overall ranking, this system classifies 300 top universities in 6 fields and 14 subjects, including agricultural, medical, engineering, biological sciences, natural sciences and social sciences.
Evaluation topics include agricultural sciences, civil engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, computer science, electronics engineering, environment and ecology, geography, materials science, mathematics, mechanical engineering, pharmacology and toxicology, physics, plant and animal sciences.
