A prelude to the bill said that the agreement has been reached in light of the friendly relations between Iran and Azerbaijan and importance of cooperation on medical services to animals and livestocks.
The agreement envisaged medical services to livestocks and veterinary in order to control, prevent and uproot animal diseases and also to facilitate trade of related products.
According to the Constitution, the contracts with foreign countries signed by the Iranian government needs approval of Majlis.
During visit of Azeri President Ilham Aliyev to Iran last March, some 11 agreements and Memoranda of Understanding, including agreement for cooperation on veterinary and livestock health were signed by the two governments.
