
Based on the statement, Meqdad Amini, Mohammad Hassan Khodaei, Saeed Najafpour, Masoud Nikbakht, Fouad Salehi and Mohammad Reza Khedmati are the persons blacklisted by the US for their alleged links with Quds Force of IRGC.
US Secretary of the Treasury also sanctioned cooperative companies of Mohammad Reza Khedmati and partners, Jahan Aras Kish and Rashed Exchange.
As a result of the sanctions, all wealth of the persons and entities in the US were blocked and US nationals have been forbidden from doing deals with them.
The sanctions were imposed only two days after the US announced its exit from the 2015 nuclear deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump announced the country’s withdrawal from the landmark international pact, a decision which drew fierce opposition from US allies such as the EU, Britain, Germany and France, which are still committed to the JCPOA.
