Iran national soccer team should not be underestimated: del Bosque

'In the 2018 World Cup, Spain is in a difficult group. No team should be underrated; they may surprise you,' said the former coach of the Spain (2008-2016).

Iran, Spain, Portugal, and Morocco are in Group B of the World Cup 2018 (14 June – 15 July).

He also said that the coach of Iran, Carlos Queiroz, knows the Spanish and Portuguese teams well.

He added, 'We should keep in mind that Iran played really well in the world cup qualifying matches, so we shouldn’t underrate them.'

Del Bosque said that Carlos Queiroz's team will be difficult to play with, adding that any opponent can cause trouble in soccer.

Spain has been present in 14 World Cup competitions before and has been able to win the cup once (2010).

Spain has also become the champion of Europe in 1964, 2008 and 2010.
