UNGA spokesman: JCPOA, result of genuine efforts, diplomacy

“The President supports the preservation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. He considers it to be a result of genuine efforts made in the spirit of diplomacy, dialogue, negotiation and compromise, Varma said in a letter on behalf of the UNGA President to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

“The President further supports the framework of the deal and encourages all parties to it to engage in consultations within this legitimate format to address their concerns,” he added.

This is while, the US administration has done a great deal during past year to kill Iran nuclear deal.

Trump is expected to announce his decision regarding suspending sanctions against Iran and continuing the implementation of the JCPOA on May 12.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has already confirmed ten times Iran's commitment to the landmark July 2015 international deal.
