Cultural proximity among ECO member-states an asset

The Public Relations Office of RICHT quoted Beheshti as making the remark in the seventh meeting of cultural attachés of the ECO member-states which was held at the cultural premises of Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism.

He expressed the hope that the memorandum of understanding which has been prepared with the ECO could enter into practical and executive stages and common activities in line with the strengthening of relations among ECO states would be shaped.

Beheshti said the mere political and economic relations could be highly unstable, adding that such relations would be immediately damaged with a miff but cultural relations especially when enjoying strong basis would never be destroyed and would reach the destination safely.

Underlining the abundant capacity for cooperation among ECO members, he announced full readiness of the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism for such cooperation.
