Iran defense minister warns against enemy economic plots

'It is not possible to imagine any country in the world without the ability to defend itself and the issue is totally out of question,' Brigadier General Amir Hatami said.

'The enemy wrongly assumes that Iran has become economically weak, he said.

'So, they intend, through toughening economic sanctions, put Iran under pressure,' he added.

In order to thwart the enemies' conspiracies, it is vital to bolster the country's economy in the face of sanctions and the enemies' hostilities to help improve the livelihood of the people, the Iranian General said.
