India inaugurates cargo transit route to Afghanistan via Iran

The first wheat consignment from India reached Chabahar port in Iran and was re-exported to Afghanistan.

The new route will make India independent from transit routes in Pakistan.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his twitter on Sunday congratulated Iran and Afghanistan for shipment and re-export of Indian wheat to Afghanistan via Iran.
