Iranian fighter wins World Para-Taekwondo Championship

After defeating all of his rivals, Pour Rahnama snatched gold medal, Head of Gilan taekwondo committee Mohsen Setorgi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday.

Iranian taekwondoka in the weight category of -75 kg defeated Russian fighter 30-8, he said.

In his second match, he overpowered Spain and advanced to the next stage, Setorgi added.

During his third stage, he hit Russia 28-17 and received 100 points, he further said.

He went on to say that the event was held with participation of 257 fighters from 59 countries in Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, London.
