US president anti-Iranian remarks has no logic: Senior MP

Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks in a meeting with the Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Iran Nguyen Hong Thach.

'Trump stance has increased our national solidarity and resulted in strong national support for the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps,' Boroujerdi said.

US President Donald Trump on October 13 took a new strategy towards Iran and decertified Tehran's commitment to the 2015 landmark nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Trump's approach has been criticized by many countries, international bodies, political communities and world media.

'Iran nuclear deal is not a bilateral accord and it belongs to no country and no country is able to terminate it,' High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said minutes after Trump's speech on Friday.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a televised message shortly after Trump's speech said his remarks were 'nothing but a handful of baseless and empty allegations against the Iranian nation'.

Broujerdi also referred to the US war against Vietnam (1955 –1975) and lauded Vietnamese people resistance.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese envoy underlined development of relations between Tehran and Hanoi.

The official said that his respective country is interested in using Iran experiences in various fields.

He underlined key role of parliamentary friendship groups in boosting bilateral relations between the two states.
