Iran, Pakistan urge unity in Muslim World

In a meeting on Sunday, the Iranian Judiciary chief said: 'The ongoing extremism in the region is rooted in salafist and Wahhabist ideologies.'

Iran and Pakistan should use their cultural heritage to prevent the youth to join extremist groups, he added.

Amoli Larijani underlined the importance of proximity of views among Islamic countries and nations and said: 'The US and the Zionists are trying to separate Muslim nations and marginalize the key issue of Palestine.'

'US and Zionists created terrorist groups to defame Islam,' he said, adding that Muslim countries should join hand to counter the heinous phenomenon of terrorism,' he underlined.

The official called for full implementation of the agreements between the two states on extradition of convicts.

During the meeting, the Pakistan senate speaker called for exchange of experience between the two states in various fields, in particular in legal and judicial areas.

He urged Islamic states to abandon differences and unite together.

The official welcomed the Iranian Judiciary chief's call for development of all-out ties and execution of bilateral agreements.
