Iran's Navy flotilla docks on Oman

The 47th strategic informational and operational flotilla of the Islamic Republic Navy, including Bushehr cruiser and Alborz destroyer, has been successful to accomplish target missions as well as providing security with Iran's shipping lines.

'The flotilla has observed and intercepted more than 1,715 commercial ships and oil tankers as well as 314 flying and floating military units of other countries,' said the Captian of the 47th flotilla Jafar Tazakor.

The flotilla docks on the Port of Salalah, the largest port in Oman. The Port is situated in the Dhofar Governorate, on the Arabian Sea which is on the northern part of the Indian Ocean. It is centrally located at the crossroads of trade between Asia and Europe.
