Poland calls for expansion of all-out ties with Iran

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of her visit to Polish graveyard in Anzali port, she said Anzali sheltered Poland's refugees some 75 years ago which played significant role in broadening all-out relations between the two countries.

Iran and Poland have had very good relations in various cultural, commercial, economic and Tourism fields during the period, Anders said.

Referring to her second visit to Iran, she said officials in Anzali proposed the city to be a sisterhood with one of cities in Poland and she will follow it up upon her arrival in Poland.

'I have a very good feeling in this cemetery as the name of my father is among list of dead people in this graveyard,' she said.
Relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Poland is very deep rooted,' Anders said.

Governor of Anzali Port Mirshams Momenizadeh said Iran and Poland have very good political and historical relations.

Some 70 years ago, about 120,000 refuges sought shelter in Iran and a number of them rest in peace in Anzali cemetery, he added.
