Tehran to host 2021 Asian Canoeing Championships

The board of directors meeting was held on Saturday in Shanghai.

According to session decisions, the Canoe sprint field is going to have 12 fields and each country will be able to attend 10 fields.

Whitewater slalom or canoe slalom will be held in 4 fields.

Canoe sprint is a sport in which athletes race canoes or kayaks on calm water.

Race categories vary by the number of athletes in the boat, the length of the course, and whether the boat is a canoe or kayak. Canoe sprints are sometimes referred to as flat water racing.

Whitewater slalom or canoe slalom is a competitive sport with the aim to navigate a decked canoe or kayak through a course of hanging downstream or upstream gates on river rapids in the fastest time possible.
