'I started swimming nine years ago and I'm ready to attend Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games,' Izadyar told IRNA after clinching his sixth first-place medal in Jakarta.
Izadyar said excitedly, 'Amazing! I only participated in Asian Para Games this year and this is my sixth gold medal.'
The 25-year-old swimmer said he has been swimming since he was 16, adding he plans to bag medals in Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games as well.
Iran's gold medalist claimed a gold medal on Friday (October 12) in men's 100m backstroke S10 to increase the tally of his gold medals to six.
He had earlier snatched five gold medals for 50m crawl S10, 200m mixed, 100m butterfly, 100m freestyle and 100m breaststroke.
