In the second day of the event, Yousef Yousefi finished runner-up in junior 65 kg category, snatching a silver medal for Iran, according to Iran Sports Federation for the Disabled website.
Chinese and Chilean representatives won gold and bronze medals, respectively.
Another Iranian representative at the tournament, Alireza Izadi, lifted 140 kg to break the Asian and world record in junior 49 kg category on Saturday.
The 2018 Para Powerlifting Asia-Oceania Open Championships is underway Sept 8-12 in Kitakyushu, Japan.
This competition is also considered as the qualification stage for 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
