Ghoddos, who plays for Östersunds FK in the Allsvenskan, Sweden’s professional football league, featured for 90 minutes against Elfsborg before the watchful eyes of a Man City representative.
French trio Bordeaux, Amiens and Rennes are keen on him and so, it seems, is Manchester City.
Östersunds’ president Daniel Kindberg avoided a direct answer when asked if Manchester City had placed a bid for the Iranian. “You never know,” Kindberg replied.
Qoddous has already turned down a big offer from Chinese clubs, preferring a stay in Europe. He has said that he is too young to go to China.
He has scored 10 goals in 20 games, and played three times for the Iranian national team and two friendly matches for Sweden's national team.
