Russian media including Tass, Russia Today and state TV channels hailed Iran’s victory in the prestigious event. Russian Match TV network described Iran as wonder of the 2018 World Cup, saying that Iran’s team was well-organized and defeated the rival.
Russia Today also wrote that President Rouhani who was in national tam’s clothes shared the public celebrations in support of the national team.
Turkish media also gave a wide coverage to Iran’s victory against Morocco team, as it topped the headlines of the country’s media outlets.
Daily ‘Star’ in a headline titled Morocco’s defeat as ‘Big Disappointment in Morocco’, saying that Iran football team managed to win the game against a strong team.
Another Turkish newspaper ‘Yeni Shafaq’ in a headline said “Morocco sets fire to itself”, elaborating that Iranian players won the game due to their logical play.
Iraqi media also hailed Iran’s win against Morocco, describing the goal in the added time as ‘deadly’ which brought three points for Iran.
Italian magazine Eurosport in a headline said ‘Iran creates wonder’, noting that Iran created the first wonder in 2018 World Cup by beating Morocco.
Meanwhile, Serbian TV in a report hailed Iran’s performance against its rival.
Algerian Daily ‘Alkhabar’ also said that Iran hunted the ‘Lions of the Atlas’ with the last bullet, achieving a valuable victory.
Spanish media also said that Morocco donated victory to Iran.
