Iranian wushu fighter bags bronze medal in World Wushu Champs

Kiani with 9.56 points ranked third and grabbed bronze medal in the event.

South Korea with 9.65 points and Japan with 9.62 points ranked first and second, respectively.

The 14th World Wushu Championships (WWC) kicked off on September 27 and it will be underway until October 3 in Kazan, a city in southwest Russia, on the banks of the Volga and Kazanka rivers.

Wushu is a martial art and a full-contact sport derived from traditional Chinese martial arts. It was developed in China after 1949, in an effort to standardize the practice of traditional Chinese martial arts, although attempts to structure the various decentralized martial arts traditions date back earlier, when the Central Guoshu Institute was established at Nanking in 1928.
