Iranian wrestlers bag 8 medals in Georgia champs

The event was held in Batumi on March 29-30.

Iranian athletes Mohammad Reza Mokhtari, Mohammad Naqusi, Hossein Forouzande, Hassan Forouzandeh and Abolfazl Seyyed Mahdavi received gold medals.

Saeed Arjmand and Hamed Abdevali in the weight categories of 63 and 97 kg grabbed silver medals.

Ali Nourbakhsh, Bahram Maroufkhani and Mohammad Reza Rostami also received bronze medals in the weight categories of 55, 67 and 72 kg, respectively.

Abolfazl Seyyed Mahdavi was also adopted as the most technical athlete.

Mukhran Vakhtangadze is a Georgian wrestler who competed in the Men's Freestyle 85 kg at the 2000 Summer Olympics and won the bronze medal. He also competed in the 2004 Summer Olympics, but was eliminated early. Vakhtangadze won the World Championship in 2001.
