Iranian weightlifters bag 2 silver, 1 bronze medals in Asian champs

Afshin Taheri from Iran lifted 147kg and 154 kg weights, but he failed to lift 158 kg weight.

Aref Khaki also lifted 147 kg weight and snatched a bronze medal.

Junior Iranian weightlifter Hussein Soltani had earlier won all three gold medals of 77 kg weight-class.

Soltani, who has already secured his gold medal in snatch competitions by lighting 144 kg early in the day, grabbed two more gold medals in clean and jerk and total. In clean and jerk he cleared 180 kg to raise his aggregate weights lifted to 324 kg in the 77 kg weight category.
