Iranian freestyler snatches bronze medal in Athens 2017

In his first match, Zare in the weight category of 76 kg defeated Japanese rival 2-1, Head of Kermanshah wrestling committee Mohammad Hosssein Mohhebi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday.

During the second match, he hit Austria 10-0 and he advanced to quarter finals stage.

In quarter finals match, the Iranian wrestler stood against India and he overpowered his Indian rival 10-3.

After three consecutive victories, Zare was overpowered by American rival 12-1 in semi-final match.

He also stood against Ukrainian athlete in qualifiers match and he defeated Ukraine 3-1.

Cadet World Championships was held on September 4-10 in Athens, Greece.
