The athletes that rank first, second, or third in the Olympics, world competitions, Asian competitions will be exempted from military service, according to an announcement issued by the public relations office of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Tuesday.

The previous law only included some of the aforementioned ranks: first, second, or third in Olympic Games, first and second in world competitions, first in Asian games.
