With the two gold medals won in the Greco-Roman wrestling event the total number of gold medals snatched by Iranian squad reached five.

Amir Reza Dehbozorgi and Mohammad Nosrati snatched the gold medals in the 45 kg and 92 kg weight classes respectively.

The Iranian sports delegation consists of 49 male and female athletes competing in 17 sporting events.
