A team consisting of 18 Iranian students from University of Applied Science and Technology (UAST) will represent Iran in the event.
16 teams take part in the championships in four groups, where the first two teams of each group will advance to the quarterfinals stage.
Iran along with Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia compete in the group A of the tournament.
The title-winner and runner-up will automatically advance to World University Football Championshiops as the representative of Asia.
The fourth Asian University Football Championships is underway from Oct 29 until November 11 in the Chinese city, Jinjiang.
