The event will be held to mark the 40th anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

It is the first time after 15 years that the national Iranian women’s gymnastics team participates in an official international tournament.

A delegation from the International Gymnastics Federation (French acronym: FIG) will visit Iran on December 5 to help the Iranian federation prepare for the tournament.
