There were some rumors earlier in the day by Italian media about Siena negotiating with Marouf.

A site which is led by Marouf said later on Wednesday that the Iranian captain has signed a contract with the Italian team.

Speaking with the Islamic Republic News Agency, a source close to Marouf also confirmed the news.

Marouf became the champion in Russia with VC Zenit-Kazan in 2015.
