In the final match, hosted by the United Arab Emirates, the Iranian beach football players defeated the Russian team 4-2 to pick up the trophy for the second time in a row.

Before advancing to the final, the Iranian team overpowered its rivals from the United States, Tahiti and Russia in the preliminary matches and then beat the Egyptian team 3-1 in the semi-finals.

Eight teams divided in two groups participated in the prestigious Intercontinental beach soccer tournament in Dubai.
