Sajjad Mardani overshined South Korean world bronze-winner opponent Kyo-don In 3-2 in the final match of men’s +80 kilograms category and received gold medal as well as $ 70,000 prize.

Mardani defeated participants from the US, China, South Korea to make it to the finals.

Another Iranian representative Armin Hadipour snatched the men’s -58 kilograms category’s bronze by winning the South Korean fighter Tae-hun Kim in third-place match.

Hadipour received bye in the first stage, won Thai rival in the next stage, and lost to the South Korean in the Semi-finals to reach the bronze medal contest.
