Iran deaf wrestlers top world championships

According to the Deaf Sports Federation of Iran, Mohammad Siavoshi (57kg), Hossein Nouri (70kg), Hossein Darikvand (74kg), Mohsen Manouchehri (86kg) and Mohammad-Rasoul Qamarpour (92kg) snatched gold medals and Keivan Rostamabadi (61kg) won the silver medal.

Saied Younesi (79kg) and Akbar Saberi (97kg) won bronze medals.

Turkish and Russian deaf freestyle wrestlers ranked second and third respectively in this round of world championships held in Vladimir, Russian Federation.

The 5th World Deaf Cadet and Junior Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling Championships and 3rd World Deaf Senior Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling Championships is underway in Vladimir on June 11-19, 2018.

Earlier, Iranian deaf Greco Roman wrestlers took the third place in the competitions by winning four silver and three bronze medals.
