Iran chess player ranks 3rd in Sharjah Champs

Khadem al-Sharieh who has the second title of world blitz in her record, gained 7.5 points and ranked third.

Azeri player with 8 points and 2707 rating and Philippines rival with 8 points and 2405 rating ranked first and second, respectively.

Some 150 players attended the event.

On December 30, Khadem al-Sharieh by winning the title of runner-up in the World Speed Chess Championship again made history.

In February 2016, Khadem al-Sharieh also ranked second in the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) Grand Prix in Iran

The championships attracted several female grandmasters and international masters from different countries of the world, including Bulgaria, China, Georgia, India, Russia, Sweden and Ukraine.
