Iran chalks up its 1st win at Asian Water Polo Games

The sixth Asian U19 Water Polo Championship kicked off in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, today (October 24) and will go on for four days.

In their first match, Iranian water polo players played Kazakhstan and scored an overwhelming victory of 13 to one.

Earlier China and Japan had played against each other, with Japan winning the game eleven to six.

Nader Ghafouri, Iranian international referee had judged the match.

Water polo teams from Iran, Kazakhstan, Japan, China, South Korea and Uzbekistan are the teams taking part in the games.

In its second game, Iran will play Uzbekistan on Thursday.
