Group A competitions in 105 kg category started in the Asian Games on Sunday with eight weightlifters; South Korea (2 athletes), Iran (2 athletes), Japan, Iraq, Uzbekistan and Pakistan one each.

Ali Hashemi, who has won the world championship gold medal in 2017, recorded in 177,181 and 184 kilograms in snatch, respectively.

In his clean and jerk , which had a close rivalry with the Iraqi athlete, he set a 219-kilogram weight on his name, but in two other chances he was unable to hold 224-kg weights to finally reach the third place with total of 403kg.
