'Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Iran U-16, U-18, and U-23 teams, and three teams from Khorasan Province attended the competition,' said Khosro Alizadeh, a provincial official.

Alizadeh added that Turkmenistan team is also in Mashad but due to an administrative problem, the representative of United World Wrestling (UWW), formerly known as FILA, didn’t permit them to take part in the event.

The two-day event is held in ten weight categories.
