Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Mohammed Ahmed Al-Rousan said a strong pillar of the Islamic Republic of Iran is that the system is founded on basis of wisdom and prudence.
Describing Imam Khomeini, the late leader of the Islamic Revolution, as the designer of a comprehensive revolution plan, the expert said, "Before the Revolution, Iran was dominated by the US with its people being exploited by colonialism."
The situation has now changed, he added arguing that since the Revolution (1979) Iran is regarded as a country that plays major roles with clear plans in all spheres of politics, economy, defense, society, culture and thought.
He referred to presidential, parliamentary and city council elections in Iran as another dimension of an Islamic society which is based on freedom.
Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, passed away in June 3, 1989.
