In a separate meeting with Hamidreza Garshasbi, caretaker of Esteghlal and Amirhussein Fathi, Perspolis' caretaker, Taj stressed on well-preparation of Iran's representatives in Asian champions league in this season, and stated,' The simultaneous presence of Iran's two representatives in the Asian champions league quarter-finalists is the sign of Iran's football clubs power in Asia.'
Head of Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran expressed the hope that Iran's other representatives in upcoming Asian champions league had brilliant function and this season a new trophy was added to previous ones.
According to the draw, Esteghlal will host Al Sadd on August 27 while Persepolis will meet Al Duhail in Qatar on August 28. The second leg of matches will take place on September 17 and 18.
