The runners from the host country, Iran, as well as Germany, the UK, France, Italy, Canada, the US, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Russia, Norway, China, Australia, Hungary, Poland, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Brazil, Pakistan, Oman and Kuwait will run distances of 42 km, 21 kms and 10 kms.
Previous marathons were held at Persepolis in 2016 and Tehran in 2017.
More than 750 runners from over 42 countries already showed up in previous two editions of `I run Iran'.
The marathon is a long-distance race, completed by running, walking, or a run/walk strategy. There are also wheelchair divisions.
