According to the Indian news channel on Wednesday, Zarif said that Iran is always keen to negotiate with India and welcomes the country's suggestions.
Saying that Iran and India can cooperate to serve each other's interests, Zarif pointed out that the economies of Iran and India are complementary.
He went on to stress that Iran needed the Indian goods and services while India was in need of Iranian resources and services as well.
Zarif also expressed happiness that Iran's 'Pasargad' bank and India's 'UCO' bank were in close cooperation.
He further hoped that in spite of the US illegal sanctions on Iran, Tehran and New Delhi would be able to expand cooperate with each other.
Heading a high-ranking economic and political delegation, Zarif is in India to participate in Raisina Dialogue, which is a multilateral conference held in New Delhi annually. Since its inception in 2016, the conference has emerged as India’s flagship conference on geopolitics and geo-economics.
