WFP reported that 65 trucks carrying food and humanitarian aid entered Douma with cooperation of Syrian Red Crescent.
“@SYRedCrescent delivering #Humanitarian aid convoy consisted of 56 trucks loaded with #food ,#flour bags,#blankets and plastic sheets provided by @WFP & @Refugees to #Douma in #Eastern_Ghouta,” Syrian Red Crescent wrote in its Twitter account.
The shipment is to be distributed among over 60,000 people.
Three million Syrians use WFP’s aid per month.
The United Nations has anticipated returning of thousands of people in Syria during the coming weeks as the situation in Syria calms down.
