We didn't lose an inch of territory during eight years of imposed war: Iran envoy

Mehdi Honardoost said this during an event to mark Sha'ban Eid at the mosque of the Iranian Embassy Residential Complex in Islamabad.

He said that Saddam during the imposed had captured a large part of the Iranian territory but our brave Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) not only defeated the Iraqi forces but also took back the control of occupied Iranian territory.

The ambassador added that today Islamic Revolution of Iran is flourishing because of the great sacrifices of the Iranian martyrs who laid their lives for their homeland.

He stressed the need to enlighten Iranian younger generation about Iranian martyrs and their spirit of sacrifice.

During the event special verses were recited in praise of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S), Imam al-Sajjad (A.S) and Hazrat Abul Fazl Al Abbas (A.S).
