Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the International Quds Day rallies, Velayati said this year "we are facing a different situation as regard Holy Quds Day which is the Deal of Century".
He added that recent events in the region created a kind of motivation to commemorate the Holy Quds Day more magnificently than ever.
The biggest Palestinian groups like Hamas and the Islamic Jihad Movement are also commemorating this day.
"Our people, taking into account the Zionist regime's vicious acts in the region, were more vigilant than ever in these rallies," Velayati said.
The enemies of Palestine and Quds tried over the past year to raid the holy city and recognize it as the capital of aggressors, President Rouhani said earlier while referring to the recognition of the city as capital of the Zionist regime by some states, including the US.
