US psychological war on Iran is ineffective: Minister

'The great Iranian nation has adequate and necessary preparation to counter the psychological pressure resulted from the enemy's economic war,' Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Abbas Salehi said on Friday.

He referred to the US Treasury role in the psychological war against Iran and said that the US government is attempting to enter talks with Iran.

The minister called for unity and solidarity in the country against the enemies' psychological pressures.

US President Donald Trump has mounted pressure on Iran and on May 8 announced that Washington would withdraw from Iran's nuclear deal and re-impose nuclear-related sanctions on the country.

This is while most world powers, including Russia, China, and the European Union, have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of the world peace and security.
