'The United States by violating all the international regulations, moved its embassy to holy al Quds and blatantly demonstrated its hostility towards the World of Islam,' said Iraj Masjedi, addressing Iraqi governmental officials, political leaders and personalities, and cultural and scientific scholars who attended an Iftar banquet held by the Iranian embassy in Baghdad on Sunday.
Masjedi denounced the inaction of the world community on atrocities committed by the Zionist regime of Israel against the Palestinian people.
'The global community should stand against the unilateral moves taken by the US that threaten international peace and security,' he said.
The Iranian ambassador to Iraq also said countries no longer could trust Washington.
'By abandoning the Iran nuclear deal, the US proved that it is not committed to its agreements with other countries,' Masjedi added.
US President Donald Trump, on May 8, pulled out US from the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and the world powers, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
