Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Ryabkov said Syria, Russia and Iran have been subject to US sanctions for a long time, noting that these sanctions did not achieve any of the intended objectives, Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported.
“There are ways to minimize the consequences of US sanctions, and these ways will be improved. There are alternative partners and formats; they need to be strengthened,” said Ryabkov, adding ,“I am sure that in the case of Syria, Russian-Syrian relations will continue to ascend; neither the United States nor anyone else will interfere with this. And I agree that the US sanctions are economic terrorism.”
