UK remains committed to JCPOA if US withdraws

“The UK remains fully committed to the nuclear deal and will work closely with the international community to ensure that the deal is a success,” a British Foreign Office spokesman said in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Thursday.

He made the remarks while commenting on London’s position on the landmark nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), whilst the US unequivocally expressed its willingness to withdraw from it.

The White House has repeatedly expressed its willingness to withdraw from Iran nuclear deal that was signed between Tehran and the P5 +1 under previous US administration.
