'Iran has informed us that they were back to the Tehran option so the trilateral meeting is going to be held in Tehran,' Peskov said, referring to a previous announcement that Tabriz would be the city to host the summit.
The Russian presidential spokesman also confirmed Turkey’s statements that Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan would hold a separate meeting on the sidelines of the summit, TASS reported.
Cooperation among Iran, Russia and Turkey for solving Syrian crisis, known as Astana process, began some two years ago. Since then, a number of talks have been held and significant progress has been made.
Thirteen meetings of experts have also been convened so far; the results of which show that regional disputes and crises can be solved through joint efforts.
