The one who should be really worried

These countries raised these two issues while the JCPOA, despite the agreement arrived at by all parties to the deal in July 2015, had not been fully implemented.

According to experts’ views, this was to find a pretext to wriggle out of their commitments.
The question is: Which country has more reason to worry in a region where Saudi Arabia and the UAE spend billions of dollars on purchasing mass murder armaments, Riyadh flies its fighter jets over Yemeni cities 10 times a day to drop bombs and kill innocent people, Israel has an arsenal full of atomic bombs and missiles equipped with nuclear warheads and, finally, is populated by foreign military forces, particularly from the US?

The US and European countries pretend to be worried about Iran’s missile defense power, whereas, during the two-year period between 2016-17, they have sold weapons worth billions of dollars to the governments of the countries located south of the Persian Gulf. Saudi Arabia signed a contract with the US in the spring of 2017 to purchase about 220 billion dollars worth of weapons from the country. Lately, British officials have explicitly announced that they would provide Riyadh with military support in its invasion of defenseless Yemen.

This comes as Iran is developing its missile defense power based on a deterrence doctrine and has, in practice, proven that it has not been an invasive country for centuries.

However, in the past few decades, Saddam’s Baath Party, backed by some Persian Gulf littoral Arab states, carried out a full-scale military attack on Iran. During the same time-span, the country also witnessed interventionist efforts by certain states, such as the Nojeh coup plot, or the US military attack on Tabas in eastern Iran. Thus, if a country should express concern, it is Iran. Likewise, if a country should be questioned for its regional behavior and policies, it is Israel and Saudi Arabia, which are invasive regimes.

These days, Israel is attacking Syrian territory on a daily basis and targeting the resistance bases in the country to provoke the anti-terror forces there, particularly Hezbollah.

The Zionists, who have been serving and sponsoring terrorist groups during the past seven years, are doing their best to prevent military devastation of the terrorists, now that they are on the verge of accepting ultimate defeat.

Given the present circumstances, European governments are asked to clarify which regime is clearly violating human rights and is the main cause of regional crises. Is it those who perpetrate heinous crimes in Palestinian lands without being compelled to provide any justification for what they do?

A recent instance of the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Palestine was the massacre of more than 100 Palestinians who had taken part in an unarmed rally on Nakba Day (Day of Catastrophe) on Gaza’s borders.

Concerning regional issues, Europeans should answer the following questions: 1. What was the main source of violence during the period after Syria turned into a center for terrorists? 2. Which countries sponsored the terrorist groups such as Al-Nusra Front, Al-Qaeda and Daesh (ISIS), and supplied weapons to them? 3. Of which Middle Eastern nationality were those terrorists who committed acts of terror in European capitals over the past few years? And 4. Which government of the region has, more than any other regional government, invited its neighbors to hold talks?

The above questions pertain to the Middle East. It is quite natural that the Islamic Republic of Iran should be concerned about the harmful behavior and policies of the US and its allies toward the region.

However, any kind of dialogue or negotiation must guarantee that it leads to the easing of concerns voiced by all the parties involved and is capable of safeguarding their interests.

Before starting any dialogue on other issues, Europeans must determine the fate of the previous one, which is the Iran nuclear deal.
